So Where Have I Been???

Well, I can tell you where I haven't been!!!  I haven't been to the post office to mail two special packages to two sweet, patient teachers!  I haven't been on my blog daily...or even weekly for quite some time now...I haven't been visiting my sweet bloggy teacher friends!  Arrgghhh!  So much to do...so little time to do it!
Ok...so rewind to Christmas... here are some pics from Christmastime in my classroom...
Second grade enjoyed The Nutcracker at South Jackson Civic Center!  We got to sit in the balcony!
Our Santas were so FUN...and oh-so-cute!!!
We enjoyed making gingerbread houses and gingerbread men during our Jan Brett Author Study!!!
Aren't they YuMmY looking???
Everyone got involved in The Gingerbread Baby skit!
REAL yummies to eat at our Christmas party!!!
We had such fun in our reindeer antlers at our Christmas party!
Even Mrs. Wrinn wore her antlers!
Hope your Christmas holiday was merry and bright!
{I know I'm just a tad late on recognizing it!  HeeHee!}

Well, are you coming????

Hop aboard THE POLAR EXPRESS!
The kiddos had such a great time on Polar Express Day!

Dressed in our jammies, bathrobes, and slippers each third grader received a ticket to take a ride!

With tickets in hand and punched, we all piled aboard the train!

We were all smiles as the train made its way toward the North Pole!

Of course, we had to have some refreshments...some choc-O-late!

Ahhhhhh...LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!

It was a GREAT day for all!

Paper Garland FREEBIE

I recently saw this idea somewhere, so I thought I'd try my hand at creating paper garlands. Here's what to do...

Print the worksheets that you'll find at the end of this post and have students color them.

Fold accordion-style.

Cut around each frame leaving each frame attached to the next one at the dotted line.

Tape or glue the two garland strips together.
Make as many copies and continue to attach as many as you want {according to the length you desire}.
{remember it will be colorful after the kiddos color it!}

So, here are the FREEBIES for ya!  Some are made with colored graphics, so just assemble.
Enjoy!

Building A Classroom Community

Classrooms are actually communities...after all, educators and students spend a lot of time there together....at least seven hours, five...
